This is a very special place. To us it looked more like a monastery (adjacent to a church), surrounded by a garden, built into the steep slope below the statue of Mother Georgia. Amazing views of the whole of Tbilisi. Short distances to all of the sights of the old town, including restaurants and some grocery shops. The public spaces are absolutely worth exploring. It's like visiting a museum. Beautiful architecture, atmospheric illumination, a collection of artifacts from all over the world. The garden is full of fountains and stairs climbing the hill with several terraces and seating areas with great city views. One of them accommodated a small swimming pool that - at the time of our visit (September 2024) could have used some cleaning. The breakfast was by far the best we had in Georgia. An exquisite assortment of delicious vegetables, snacks, bread, fruits, some warm dishes and pancakes. We lived in a large room below the hotel which looked more like a whole flat. It consisted of a kitchen with a terrace, a bed / living room and a bath room. It had a separate entrance and the kitchen was equipped with a microwave and a kettle. We were offered an upgrade upon arrival but we liked our room. Spacious, comfortable, great views from the sitting area in the kitchen. The staff was very polite and well-mannered. Obviously keen to appear very correct.

* Guest Relations Manager, Tamara was amazing and very helpful! Our first day in Tbilisi was very special, thanks to her. She showed us the hotel’s hidden gems: such as the wine cellar and brought us to a stunning rooftop with the best view of the city. Then she told us some information about Georgian culture and history of Tbilisi. I could not have been more grateful! The best hotel welcome I have ever had! *we loved the the architecture of the hotel building, as it used to be a monastery in 16th century, it is indeed very special and unique. The greenery all around the hotel’s yard is beautiful (which is on the rooftop and on different levels so you feel like you are in some fairy tale and you can walk around and discover a lot.) *Also we wanted to say thank you to Ilya,Georgii and Peko: very sweet and kind people

The place is absolutely stunning, one of the nicest hotels I ever stayed. Location wise was also absolute top. Old Tblisi in walking distance, the view is simply stunning from the pool area. Tamara and her team makes you feel welcome and will go beyond your expectations to make sure you will have a happy stay. She helped me organising picking up our lugguage which was delayed in transit. We booked some tours as well and these were also exceptional. Nino is a wonderful English speaking tour guide with lots of knowledge and the car (Mercedes) we used was very luxury and comfortable. I would highy recommend the place. And yes, there are a few stairs to climb on your way up, but the staff kindly helped us with our lugguage so it was no issue at all.

The staff were very helpful in finding us parking, directing us to the hotel, and carrying our suitcases up the 50+ steps to the actual hotel from the street. The interior of the public spaces had high, vaulted ceilings, with wonderful Asian and African artworks and antique cabinets, and our room was very spacious, with a high ceiling, mirrors around the entire upper four feet of the walls, an art deco vibe, and original artworks on the walls. The bed was large and very comfortable and the shower was great. Interestingly, the three main functions of a standard bathroom (toilet, sink and shower) were divided into three distinct niches on the same side of the room as the entrance. Altogether, it was a unique and pleasurable experience.

- high class luxury experience mixed up with living in a castle interiors with unique rooms and great balcony views (different in each room) - Truly amazing inner yard with fountains and a pool area (April was a bit too cold for swimming though) with a picturesque view of the Tbilisi old town - Very good and professional personnel that helped us with many things such as luggage lifting, arranging a pro photoshoot at the hotel territory, international delivery, and changing rooms/extending our stay ! Special thanks to Ilya, Tamara, Gio, and Toko, who were very friendly and helpful - Small but definitely tasty traditional home-made breakfasts
